About Tekeyla (Tequila) Friday Studios

I am a certified copy editor, Ghost Writer, Author, Book Designer, Children's Programmer, Stop Motion Animation and Claymation Artist.

I have three diplomas in writing for Children and Teens, an Acting degree, and a Publishing degree. Establishing my own publishing house has been a long-standing ambition of mine. I want to showcase my skills and the many talents of new voices often overlooked in the publishing world.

It is a passion of mine to create high-interest, high-quality, and well-written children's literature that builds vocabulary and the 3 most important of the 9 Essential Skills needed for any career.

Children who do not master the skills of reading, writing and numeracy by the end of Grade 3 will struggle as working adults.

I can vouch for the importance of early literacy and proper reading habits, as I was one of those children who struggled through school. Children need access to quality books. By combining literacy and STREAM (Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), we can create LITE-STRE@M™: a structure designed to help young people develop the 9 Essential Skills they need for the future. Literacy is true education!
