At Tekeyla (Tequila) Friday Studios Publishing, we believe every story — and every child — deserves the chance to shine.

I’m Tekeyla Friday, founder, certified copy editor, ghostwriter, author, book designer, children's programmer, and stop-motion animation artist. Storytelling has always been woven into my cultural up bringing as a Métis person and every corner of my life — whether through writing, acting, animating, or teaching.

​

I hold diplomas in Writing for Children and Teens, an Acting degree, and a Publishing degree. Establishing my own publishing house has long been a dream of mine: a place where overlooked voices find a platform, and where quality children's literature is crafted with care and heart.

At Tekeyla Friday Studios Publishing, we specialize in creating high-interest, high-quality children's books that not only entertain but build essential life skills — especially the three most critical of the Nine Essential Skills:
Reading. Writing. Numeracy.

Early literacy is the cornerstone of success. Research — and personal experience — shows that children who master these skills by the end of Grade 3 are more likely to thrive as working adults.
I know this firsthand. I was once a struggling reader myself, and I understand the difference a great book can make in a child's life.

Through our innovative LITE-STRE@M™ framework (Literacy + Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), we bridge literacy and STRE@M™ education to nurture young learners with the tools they need for the future.
